Banco De La Provincia de Buenos Aires first opened its doors to the public on September 6, 1822 under the name of Banco del Buen Ayre as private limited company. Throughout its story changed several times in name and legal status. Currently owned by the Province of Buenos Aires, it is the second largest bank in Argentina and has more than 300 branches spread across the province.
