Piedra Buena Power Plant is located in the port of Ingeniero White, near the City of Bahía Blanca, Province of Buenos Aires. This includes two turbines of 310 MW each (a total of 620 MW), which represents 1.8% of Argentina’s installed capacity. The boilers can fire either natural gas or fuel oil. The natural gas is supplied through a 22 km gas pipeline owned by the plant and both operated and maintained by Piedra Buena, which connects with the main gas pipeline system of Transportadora Gas del Sur. Furthermore, CPB has two tanks for the storage of fuel oil with a combined capacity of 60,000 m3.
