Bosnian wood products manufacturer Fagus was established in 1991 by local businessmen Branislav and Miroslav Malijevic.
It is one of the largest producers of trimed texture in Bosnia and is also involved in fabrication of wood, production of wood doors and windows as well as wood/aluminium combination.
The company's initial activity was processing of fir and juniper and then sale of lumber on the Bosnian market and exports to western Europe.
In 1996, the company decided to invest in new technology and open a windows and doors production unit.
At present, Fagus exports lumber from juniper bush, beech, oak, deals with carpentry of windows, balcony doors with thermo-isolation glass, blinds, entrance doors, slide walls and harmonica doors.
The company, which was transformed into a limited liability enterprise in 1999, also controls the Hajducke vode sports and recreation centre, operates a filling station as well as a civil engineering company.
