Vispak, which produces coffee, chocolate, creams, instant soups and seasonings, is one of biggest of its kind in Bosnia.
It employs 175 workers and its production is divided into four groups of products - the first group includes coffee and tea, the second deals with chocolate and chocolate creams, the third with snacks, and the fourth with powder products.
A 70% stake in the company was acquired in 2000 by Vispak employees through the country's voucher privatisation programme.
The remaining 20% is owned by local privatisation funds and 10% by small shareholders.
The company's assets stood at EUR 10.5 million and equity came in at EUR 8.18 million in the end of 2003.
Vispak posted a 2004 net profit of KM 51,000, nearly seven times lower than the KM 347,000 profit reported for 2003.
Company sales amounted to KM 15.22 million in 2004, slightly down from the KM 15.96 million in sales revenue posted in 2003.
In May 2004, a consortium of Visoko-based companies comprising Vispak, VGT Osiguranje and Remis purchased a 51% stake in the state-owned shipping and forwarding company Intersped.
The company exports to the United States, Sweden, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Croatia and Serbia and Montenegro.
Vispak plans a 15% increase in exports in 2005 on the wave of surging activities in Libya.
