The Company is engaged in unique Loans and Savings institution operating in our country and our finance includes Housing finance, Lease finance, Deposit scheme and Car Loan. It is a Public Limited Company under the Companies Act, 1994 and licensed by Bangladesh Bank under the Financial Institutions Act, 1993. We were incorporated on August 18, 1998 with authorized capital Tk. 2000 million paid up capital of Tk. 400 million and was quoted in Dhaka Stock Exchange in 2008 with authorized shares 20,000 Ordinary Shares of Tk. 100 each.
The financial statements of the Company are made up to 31 December each year and are prepared under historical cost convention and in accordance with (First Schedule) (sec-38) of the Bank Companies Act, 1991, DFIM circular number 11dated 23 December, 2009, other Bangladesh Bank circulars, Bangladesh Financial Reporting Standards(BFRS), the Companies Act, 1994, the Financial Institutions Act, 1993, Securities and Exchange Rules, 1987 and other prevailing laws and rules applicable in Bangladesh.
The Bank has changed name of National Housing Finance and Investment Limited to National Housing Finance PLC on 5th November 2023.
