Chimsnab Bulgaria, former Empi, was initially established in 1991 as a state-owned company and a legal successor of local Komel - Sofia, with main activity - manufacture of electrical equipment and machinery and plastic products. In 2007 the firm halted operations and it was insolvent until July 2010.
In mid-2011 seven local companies - Chimsnab, Sofgeoprouchvane, Kazanlashka Melnitsa, Burgaska Melnitsa, Ecoel, Mit 2003 and David 202, all controlled by local industrial group Chimimport, merged into Empi and it was renamed into Chimsnab Bulgaria. Currently, the company offers own assets for rent.
