Gradus 1 EOOD (Bulgaria)

One of Bulgaria's largest poultry meat producers and exporters Gradus 1 was established in 1992. In 1998, the company bought a slaughterhouse in Stara Zagora. The company built a fodder plant and a granules factory in Nova Zagora, launching them in 2000 and 2001 respectively. In November 2002, Gradus purchased a 63.91% stake of Bulgaria's leading manufacturer of edible vegetable oils Biser Oliva for BGN 1.975 million. It later raised its stake in the Stara Zagora-based enterprise to 91% via a tender offer. In October 2006, Gradus 1 opened a EUR 17.9 million plant in Stara Zagora.
The production of the company is organized in five divisions - feed mill, parent breeding farms, hatchery, broiler fattening farms and chicken processing plant. The production facilities are located in the cities of Nova Zagora, Stara Zagora, Chirpan and in the municipalities of Haskovo, Yambol and Ruse. The processing plant spans over 11,000 square meters and has annual capacity of 40,000 tonnes of poultry.
Gradus offers more than 150 types of products in the following categories - chilled products, frozen products, seasoned products, convenient products, sausages, products suitable for direct consumption.
