Meat processor and producer Mes-Ko was set up in 1994 and is headquartered in the southern Bulgarian town of Petrich.
The company offers more than 85 products including flat and other types of sausages under eight brands, smoked and boiled hams and bacon under seven brands, perishable meat products under 14 brands and boiled-and-smoked salami under nine brands.
Mes-Ko markets its meat products under labels that include Ambaritsa, Hemus, Petrohan, Banski Starets, Melnik, Burgas, Rozhen, etc.
The company operates a meat processing plant with a built-up area of 2,400 sq m in Petrich. The facility has a daily output capacity of eight tonnes of meat products, compared to one tonne when it was first launched.
In January 2008, Mes-Ko, which employs 80 people, forecast a 2007 profit of BGN 600,000.
The company’s business plans for the coming years include opening a separate flat sausage and specialty product plant, a winery and a canned food factory.
