Siemens EOOD was established in 1998 and specializes in providing infrastructure solutions in the following areas - industry, energy, healthcare and infrastructure and cities. German engineering company Siemens AG is one of the leading providers of high and medium-voltage equipment in Bulgaria and plays a key role in the upgrade of country's telecommunication network. In Bulgaria Siemens offers almost the whole assortment of its portfolio. Siemens EOOD operates a factory for the production of measuring equipment for high-voltage products, located in the town of Pravets.
The company's business relations with Bulgaria date back to the early 20th century. In August 1934, the German company signed a contract with the Bulgarian government for the construction of the first automatic telephone exchange type А-29 in the country. Siemens opened a representative office in Bulgaria in early 1991 and in October 1998 this office was transformed into Siemens EOOD.
