Technopolis Bulgaria, which was established in 2002, runs one of the leading specialty retail chains for consumer electronics, home office products, entertainment software, appliances and related services in Bulgaria. In 2001, local consumer electronics importer Videolux teamed up with German building group Lindner to launch retail stores under the brand name Technopolis. The first hypermarket was opened in 2001 and today the company operates more than 20 stores across the country.
