Topaz Mel OOD is the largest milling complex in Bulgaria and one of the most modern in Europe. It is located on an area of 83,000 square meters in the village of Tserkovski, Karnobat municipality. The region has a long tradition in grain production, milling, and baking. Historical chronicles dating back to the Middle Ages testify that the flour from the Karnobat mills was the subject of lively trade throughout the country, renowned for its high quality. The fame of the old millers spread throughout Bulgaria. Today, Topaz Mel combines its rich historical heritage with the highest production technologies. The company cultivates over 43,000 hectares of its own agricultural land. The fields are located in the Karnobat area and are planted with the best varieties of Bulgarian, Austrian, German, and French soft wheat, as well as Austrian varieties of hard wheat since 2013. The company's own wheat harvest allows for the monitoring of the parameters of the incoming raw material and the maintenance of a consistently high quality of the final product. Over the years, Topaz Mel has built and put into operation three mills with a total grain processing capacity of 900 tons per day. The first mill was commissioned in 2001 and is equipped with machines from the Czech company "Prokop," while the other two were designed and equipped by the Swiss company "Bühler" - a world leader in the construction of milling facilities. In addition to being a large consumer of quality wheat, Topaz Mel is also a major producer. The total capacity of the silo farm is 160,000 tons. Silos for milled products and a warehouse for packaged flour have been built for the storage of finished flour. The finished flour can be delivered to customers in bulk or packaged form.
