EMGEA, acronym for Empresa Gestora de Ativos S.A., is a non-financial federal public company incorporated as a closed capital corporation. It is linked to the Ministry of Finance and its capital is fully subscribed by the Union. The company's main activity is asset management, specifically managing assets - properties and rights - from the Union and entities within the federal public administration. Within EMGEA's production chain, credit operations portfolios - real estate credit, commercial credit, and public sector credit - constitute its own assets. These assets are acquired through acquisitions, with counterpart payments or assumption of obligations from transmitting entities, or through capital increases. Following a statutory amendment in November 2017, EMGEA's scope of activities was expanded to also provide administrative debt collection services for credits managed by the Secretariat of Federal Property (SPU), in accordance with the provisions of Law No. 13,465/2017. As an asset manager, EMGEA develops and implements financial solutions for credit recovery, prioritizing conciliatory solutions both in the administrative and judicial spheres to encourage settlement or restructuring of operations. Operational activities are carried out by contracted companies that provide services, including debtor assistance. EMGEA has been included in the National Privatization Program - PND, under Decree No. 10,008 of September 5, 2019. The privatization will take place in accordance with CPPI Resolution No. 242 of June 24, 2022, and Decree No. 11,110 of June 29, 2022. Follow the process by clicking HERE.
