Renova Energia S.A. - Em Recuperacao Judicial is a Brazilian company based in Sao Paulo. The company specializes in renewable energy generation, specifically in wind, small hydroelectric power plants (PCHs), and solar energy. Since 2009, Renova Energia has focused primarily on wind energy projects, making it a pioneer in this field in Brazil. Renova Energia stands out for its ability to operate in an integrated manner, handling the entire process from prospecting and development to implementation and operation of its projects. As a 100% Brazilian company, Renova Energia is one of the largest renewable energy companies in Latin America and a market leader in its segment. The company has been developing small hydroelectric power plant projects since 2001 and currently operates three plants in southern Bahia. Its main business, however, is in wind energy, which it started in 2006. In January 2014, Renova Energia acquired a 51% stake in Brasil PCH, adding 148.4 MW to its portfolio. Renova Energia was also the first renewable energy company to have its shares listed on the Sao Paulo Stock Exchange (BM&F Bovespa).
