Sotreq S.A. is a company located in Sumare, Brazil. It was founded in 1941 when Sotreq and Caterpillar signed a contract under the name Sociedade de Tratores e Equipamentos Ltda. In the same year, the company became known as Sotreq. The company's headquarters were officially inaugurated in 1949 on Avenida Brasil, the main route in and out of Rio de Janeiro. Sotreq's trajectory is characterized by entrepreneurship and the belief that striving for excellence is the path to growth. In 1946, the company expanded its activities and opened a branch in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais. Over the years, Sotreq continued to grow and established new units in Uberlândia, Brasília, Goiânia, and Vitória. In the late 1970s, the company expanded its operations to include the states of Pará and Amapá. In 2001, Sotreq began reselling Cat® products, services, and systems in several states, including São Paulo, Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, Rondônia, Amazonas, Acre, and Roraima. In 2012, the company expanded its operations to include the Northeast region of Brazil, incorporating the states of Maranhão, Piauí, Ceará, Rio Grande do Norte, Paraíba, Pernambuco, Alagoas, Sergipe, and Bahia. Currently, Sotreq operates in the Southeast, Midwest, North, and Northeast regions of Brazil, serving the Construction, Mining, Energy, and Oil & Maritime markets. The company offers specialized technological solutions to support sustainable development.
