CGE Distribucion S.A. (Chile)

CGE Distribucion S.A. is a subsidiary of Compania General de Electricidad S.A. (CGE), which was founded in 1905. Through the years it has concentrated its operations in the energy sector, mainly in Chile participating in the markets for distribution and power transmission and distribution, transportation and storage of gas. Areas in which throughout its 100 years of life has shown a vast and fruitful experience. CGE Distribucion S.A. is the largest distributor of electricity in the country, according to geographic coverage, and second in number of customers. It has a high regional vocation, which is demonstrated by the fact that it supplies power to around 1,300,000 customers in more than 100 municipalities in the country, from Southern Metropolitan Region to the Araucania Region. In 2017 Compañía General de Electricidad S.A. absorbs CGE Distribución, CONAFE and EMELAT.
