Enaex S.A. (Chile)

Enaex is the third largest producer of ammonium nitrate in the world and first in blasting services in Chile. Enaex S.A. is a subsidiary of the Sigdo Koppers group. It has more than 94 years of experience and trajectory in the market of explosives. Throughout its history, the company has established itself as the third producer of low density ammonium nitrate worldwide and as the provider of integrated rock fragmentation services for the most important mining in Chile and Latin America. Enaex owns the largest ammonium nitrate production complex in the world: the complex Prillex America has a capacity of 850 thousand tons per year, obtaining in 2014 a production of 782 thousand tons of Ammonium Nitrate. Enaex Servicios S.A., a subsidiary of Enaex S.A., has contracts with a significant client base in the main open pit and underground mines in the region. In Chile, Enaex provides the service of rock fragmentation and blasting to the most prestigious mines in the world. Given the need and requirements of its customers, the Company has an extensive network of service plants located in the most important mining operations throughout the country, from where it provides different services for the mining industry such as blasting firing, loading of blowing agents, surface mooring, well capping, drilling check and powder magazine management among others.
