Forestal Cholguán S.A. is a company located in Las Condes, Chile. It was incorporated in January 1979, taking over the assets and liabilities of Maderas Prensadas Cholguán S.A. related to the forestry industry. Forestal Cholguán S.A. acquired the majority of the shares of Forestal Siberia S.A. and later purchased the remaining shares from third parties. As a result, Forestal Cholguán S.A. liquidated Forestal Siberia S.A. and incorporated its assets and liabilities, including forested properties. At the beginning of its operations, Forestal Cholguán S.A. owned a total of 11,059 hectares of forested land, with 9,114 hectares of radiata pine plantations. In April 2000, Forestal Celco S.A. took control and management of Forestal Cholguán S.A., relocating its headquarters to Constitución for operational and administrative convenience. Forestal Celco S.A. now manages 89,136 hectares of land with plantations, primarily of radiata pine. As of December 2001, Forestal Cholguán S.A. owned 54,680.5 hectares of radiata pine plantations, 2,453 hectares of eucalyptus, and 6,716.4 hectares of native forest and other species in Chile. Additionally, through its subsidiary Forestal Cono Sur S.A. in Uruguay, the company owned 27,683.15 hectares of land, with 8,479.45 hectares planted.
