Puerto Panul S.A. is the largest operator of clean bulk goods in the Port of San Antonio. The company was incorporated on October 14, 1999, and its main business is to exploit the docking area, providing services such as mooring, cargo transfer, and other services inherent to port activities. Puerto Panul's concession for the Terminal Norte docking area of the Port of San Antonio is valid for 30 years. The company, which belongs to a group of agro-industrial companies in Chile, aims to develop, maintain, and operate Berth No. 8 of the Port of San Antonio. Since its inception, Puerto Panul has invested approximately $9 million in modernizing the docking area, including the acquisition of a new unloading crane, the installation of a new conveyor belt system, the construction of a loading building, and various improvements in maritime and land infrastructure. The terminal specifically transfers agricultural bulk goods, such as wheat, corn, and soybeans. Puerto Panul has served an average of 80% of the demand for port services in the Port of San Antonio since 2000. In 2010, the terminal transferred nearly 1.8 million tons, making Puerto San Antonio the number one solid bulk transfer operator in Chile. The docking area has an approximate depth of 40 feet (12.20 meters) and is equipped with two German Level Luffing cranes, with the FAM crane capable of unloading 700 tons per hour and the Ardelt crane capable of unloading 400 tons per hour. One of Puerto Panul's main strengths is its strategic geographical location and good access routes, which connect directly to the central and southern regions of the country where various production and consumption centers are located. The company's customer base includes Agrícola Super Ltda., Gráneles de Chile S.A., Compañía Molinera San Cristóbal S.A., Agrícola Tarapacá, SOPRODI, Comercial Russfin, Luchetti, Molino La Estampa, Agrícola Chorombo, Empresas Carozzi, Agrícola El Monte, Molinos Cunaco S.A., Cervecera CCU Chile Ltda., Cervecería Chile S.A., among others. The main destinations for the cargo transferred at Puerto Panul are located between the Seventh Region and the Metropolitan Region, including Longovilo, Lo Miranda, San Antonio, Hidalgo, Leyda, Santiago, Melipilla, Malloco, El Monte, La Calera, Casablanca, Maipú, Quillota, etc.
