Puerto Terrestre Los Andes Sociedad Concesionaria S.A. (PTLA) is a concessioned facility located in the El Sauce sector of Los Andes, Chile. It serves as a hub for fiscal, logistical, and commercial activities related to the land traffic of goods through the Los Libertadores Pass. The facility is used by the National Customs Service (SNA), the Agricultural and Livestock Service (SAG), and the Valparaíso Health Service (SSRV) for their inspection activities. It also houses key agents involved in operations, such as customs agencies and transportation companies. With an approximate area of 24.5 hectares, PTLA has an average monthly influx of 16,410 trucks over the past three years. This average is divided into 13,332 trucks for imports and 3,078 trucks for exports, according to statistics from the first half of 2022. PTLA is a port facility capable of providing all public and private services related to transportation, cargo storage, customs control, and phytosanitary inspections for products entering and leaving the country through the border crossing that connects Chile with Argentina and the rest of the MERCOSUR.
