Agromar is a family-owned company founded in 1982 in the city of Dalcahue, on the Isla Grande de Chiloé, in southern Chile. Since its establishment, the company has been dedicated to the processing of seafood products. Initially, Agromar started as a small plant focused on producing sea urchin roe (Loxechinus Albus) and clam meat (Venus Antiqua) to meet the demand of the Japanese market. Over the years, Agromar has expanded its product range to include various seafood such as king crab (Lithodes Antarticus), Chilean abalone (Concholepas concholepas), Atlantic salmon (Salmosalar), mussels (Mytilus Chilensis), and sea cucumbers (Garisolida). These products are targeted towards different markets including Europe, the United States, and Asia. Agromar's processing plant is located on the privileged island of Chiloé, surrounded by fertile waters and abundant fjords and channels, providing optimal conditions for aquaculture development.
