Sociedad Concesionaria Rutas del Pacifico S.A., also known as "Ruta 68," is a company located in Santiago, Chile. It operates the main connection between the Metropolitan Region and the Valparaíso area, facilitating the transportation of cargo and passengers to other cities in the region. The route also serves sectors with significant tourism, fruit, wine, and industrial activity. Various economic centers have developed around the highway, including urban and real estate developments in the V Region and the Metropolitan Region. The route spans 141 kilometers and includes notable structures such as the Lo Prado and Zapata tunnels and the Marga Marga Viaduct. It consists of three sections: the main route from Santiago to Valparaíso and Viña del Mar, the Troncal Sur bypassing the cities of Quilpué and Villa Alemana, and Route 60, which connects the Troncal Sur and Ruta 68. Rutas del Pacífico is the second interurban highway in the country to implement an electronic toll payment system using the interoperable urban TAG.
