Television Nacional de Chile is a legal entity under public law and constitutes an autonomous state enterprise. As such, in the performance of a media role it is independent of both the government and the different public powers. The National Television Company of Chile is governed by the law 19.132 of 1992 and is the continuation and successor of the company, of the same name, created by law 17,377 dated October 24, 1970.
