Vorwerk Y Cia. S.A. is a company located in Santiago, Chile. The company was founded in 1823 as Hochgreve & Vorwerk in Hamburg, Germany, and later established a branch in Valparaíso, Chile in 1860. In 1951, the company changed its name to Vorwerk y Cía S.A. and relocated to Santiago. Vorwerk is divided into two main areas of business. They offer thermofusion equipment for various thermoplastic materials, as well as panels, sheets, and plastic geomembranes. Additionally, they provide bill and coin processing equipment, as well as ticket printers for commercial banking, value transporters, casinos, and retail establishments. Over the years, Vorwerk has represented several German companies, including Norddeutsche Affinerie (now Aurubis AG), Caja de Crédito Minero (predecessor of Enami), and Lurgi Metallgesellschaft AG. They have also established exclusive partnerships with Swiss brand Leister, which supplies machines for working with plastics using heat, and Renolit Ibérica, a German provider of technical geomembranes. Since 2006, Vorwerk has expanded its representation to include various brands related to cash control and management, such as CIMA, Magner, and CountR. They have successfully implemented projects, including the installation of over 100 cash deposit and recycling machines in the largest supermarket chain in Chile. Additionally, they have installed over 50,000 square meters of geomembranes for waterproofing purposes throughout Chile.
