Air China Limited is a domestic airline company that holds a monopoly position in international routes. As the only airline in China to carry the national flag, Air China has been responsible for the outbound visits of party and state leaders, as well as some domestic special aircraft missions. It has also undertaken many charter flights for foreign heads of state and government officials within China. In June 2012, Air China was ranked 24th among the "Top 500 Most Valuable Chinese Brands" by the World Brand Lab, making it a prominent player in the domestic aviation service industry. From 2004 to 2008, Air China won awards such as the "User Satisfaction Quality Award" and the "User Satisfaction Quality Service Gold Award" in the "Passenger Talks about Civil Aviation" campaign. The Air China brand has been recognized as one of the "Top Ten World-Class Brands in China" by the Financial Times and McKinsey & Company.
