The company s BorqsWare software platform consists of BorqsWare Client software that has been used in Android phones, tablets, watches, and various Internet-of-things devices; and BorqsWare Server software platform, which includes back-end server software that allows customers to develop their own mobile end-to-end services for their devices. In addition, the company provides IVI solutions, machine to machine solutions, smart appliance solution, mobile operator services, and google mobile services (GMS). It primarily serves mobile chipset manufacturers, mobile device original equipment manufacturers, and mobile operators, as well as product solutions of mobile connected devices for enterprise and consumer applications.
2015 - The Company (formerly known as “Pacific Special Acquisition Corp.) was incorporated in the British Virgin Islands on July 1
2017 - On August 18, the Company acquired 100 of the equity interest of BORQS International Holding Corp. and its subsidiaries, variable interest entities and the VIE's subsidiaries in an all-stock merger transaction. Concurrent with the completion of the acquisition of Borqs International, the Company changed its name from Pacific Special Acquisition Corp.”, to Borqs Technologies, Inc.
2017 - From October 15, 2015 to August , the Company s units was traded on The Nasdaq Stock Market under the symbol “PAACU”, and from October 29, 2015 to August 18, 2017, its ordinary shares, rights and warrants were each traded on The Nasdaq Stock Market under the symbols “PAAC,” “PAACR” and “PAACW,” respectively.
2017 - On August 18, the Company completed the acquisition of Borqs International in an all-stock transaction. From August 21, 2017, its ordinary shares and warrants have been traded on The Nasdaq Stock Market under the symbol “BRQS” and “BRQSW”, respectively.
2018 - In November, the Company's board of directors approved the plan to dispose all of its tangible and intangible assets related to the VIE and the VIE's.
2021 - As of October 19, the Company acquired 51 ownership of Holu Hou Energy LLC which is in the business of providing design, engineering and installation of solar power and storage solutions for the residential and commercial markets in the U.S.
