Guangshen Railway Company Limited (China)

The company is mainly engaged in the passenger-and-cargo transport between Guangzhou and Shenzhen, some long-distance business and passenger transportation services, and manages Guangzhou-Kowloon passenger transportation business co-operation with the Kowloon-Canton Railway Corporation of Hong Kong. The Guangzhou-Shenzhen Railway operated independently by the company , with a total length of 147 km, is a high-speed railway of fully electrified closure, which covers the rapid economic growth such as Guangdong Province, the Pearl River Delta, connecting Beijing-Guangzhou, Beijing-Kowloon and Hong Kong, the Kowloon-Canton Railway is an important part of the network in the South China traffic and the only railway corridor to Hong Kong from Chinese inland. The company H shares and American depositary shares issued by the company were listed on the NYSE and American Stock Exchange in 1996, and the listing in the mainland this time has achieved the company the only railway transport enterprise of China in the three major global stock markets.
