With the approval of Fujian People 's Government, Sansteel Minguang Co., Ltd., Fujian was founded on Dec. 26, 2001 by Fujian Sansteel Group Co., Ltd., allied with Xiamen International Trade Group Co., Ltd., Xiamen Port Group Ltd., Xiamen Guoguang Industry & Trade Development Ltd., Xiamen Liusheng Logistics Ltd., Fujian Jinjiang Fumingxin Huajian Trade Ltd., Mindong Ronghong Building Materials Ltd., Central Iron & Steel Research Institute and Beijing Iron & Steel Design & Research Institute. Sansteel Minguang Co., Ltd., Fujian is primarily engaged in smelting, processing and distribution of iron and steel products. The company's main products are deformed steel bars, steel wires for reinforced concrete, steel wire rods for metal products, medium steel plates and steel billets, among others. It distributes its products principally in domestic market, with Fujian Province as its major market. As of December 31, 2009, the company had six major associates, which involved in smelting and processing of iron and steel products, metal deep processing, manufacture of coal and coke products, as well as import and export trading.
