Banco de Colombia was founded in 1875. In 1998 the Banco Industrial Colombiano y Banco de Colombia were integrated to form Bancolombia. In 2005 Bancolombia merged with Conavi and Corfinsura to create one entity. Bancolombia acquired all assets, rights and obligations of Conavi and Corfinsura, which were dissolved without being liquidated. The Bank operates within the following segments: Banking in Colombia and El Salvador, Leasing, Trust, Investment Banking, brokerage, offshore, pensions, insurance and others. The banking segment in Colombia offers banking products and services to corporate, and individual clients in the country and the same banking services are offered in El Salvador. The Leasing segment consists in the management and financing of leases, including leases for clients from countries like Mexico, Central America and Brazil. The Trust segment provides products and trust services asset management for clients in Colombia and Peru. The Investment Banking segment consists of project finance advisory, underwriting, capital market services and private wealth management. The brokerage segment includes the brokerage and investment advisory services for private funding for individuals and institutions. The offshore segment offers a full line of offshore banking services for customers from Colombia and Salvador. The segment of pension and severance involves the administration of pension plans and insurance services to individuals and businesses.
