Colgas S.A. E.S.P (Colombia)

Nortesantandereana de Gas S.A. E.S.P., located in Bogota D.C., is a multilatina company with over 50 years of experience in Colombia. The company has shown significant growth, innovation, and development throughout the years. The company's history began in 1960 when José Urbina Amorocho founded Norgas. In 2011, Abastible, the largest LP Gas distributor in Chile, acquired 51% of the company's shares, leading to the creation of the Inversiones del Nordeste (INSA) group. INSA operates in Colombia through its regional brands: Colgas, Norgas, Gasan, and Gases de Antioquia. In 2019, all the companies were merged under NORGAS S.A. E.S.P, while maintaining the regional brands. The merger also included COTRANSCOL, the company responsible for propane gas transportation, and CINSA, the metal-mechanical company in charge of cylinder manufacturing. In 2022, the company adopted the corporate brand "Colgas, solutions for life," unifying its portfolio and committing to the energy transition towards a more sustainable future. The company focuses its efforts on offering comprehensive solutions in four strategic business units.
