Compania De Financiamiento Tuya S.A. is a company located in Medellin, Colombia. It was incorporated under the name COLOMBO MEXICANA DE INVERSIONES S.A. - COLMEX on November 30, 1971, in Bogotá, D.C. In 1980, the company was acquired by Grupo Suramericana and changed its name to COMPAÑÍA SURAMERICANA DE FINANCIAMIENTO COMERCIAL S.A. "SUFINANCIAMIENTO" and its headquarters to Medellin. Initially focused on meeting the credit needs of small and medium-sized enterprises, the company shifted its strategy in 1992 to develop credit lines for individuals, including private label credit cards, vehicle loans, and personal loans. This shift allowed the company to establish a strong presence in the consumer credit market.
