Cooperativa de Caficultores del Sur del Tolima Limitada, located in Chaparral, was incorporated on August 20, 1966. It was established by a group of 102 coffee farmers with the sponsorship of the National Federation of Coffee Growers - Tolima Committee. The cooperative was created to address the difficulties faced by coffee farmers in the area in marketing their beans and the need for an institution to regulate input prices and provide services for the well-being of its members. The main focus of the cooperative is to provide support and services to coffee farmers in the region.
