Mexichem Resinas Colombia (MRC) is the business unit of Mexichem responsible for managing the production and marketing of PVC resins in Colombia. It has three modern plants established in Cartagena, with an installed capacity of 400,000 metric tons per year. Its product portfolio includes general-purpose resins and a wide repertoire of vinyl specialties. MRC is widely recognized in the global PVC market and is a leading producer of this plastic in Latin America. Its establishment in Colombia, as a result of the acquisition of the company Petroquímica Colombiana, Petco, by Mexichem, consolidates the successful trajectory in the business developed by that company since 1965, integrating its team, experience, technological resources and exporting vocation to the new corporate vision. Currently, MRC supplies more than 90% of the national market and allocates about 60% of its production to exports. Its strategy focuses on sectors with great growth potential in the region, seeking to ensure the sustainable development of the business based on innovation and continuous improvement to meet the expectations of all stakeholders.
