Severoceske Vodovody A Kanalizace A.S. is a company located in Teplice, Czech Republic. It was established on October 1, 1993, through the division of the state enterprise Severočeské vodovody a kanalizace Teplice. The division resulted in two joint-stock companies: Severočeské vodovody a kanalizace a.s. Teplice (SčVK) as the operating company and Severočeská vodárenská společnost a.s. Teplice (SVS) as the company of owners. The remaining state enterprise, Severočeské vodovody a kanalizace, ceased to exist in 1996. During the transformation, SčVK acquired assets worth 656 million CZK, which included the necessary resources for operating infrastructure assets. Ing. Josef Šverma was appointed as the CEO of the joint-stock company on October 1, 1993. At the beginning of its operations, SčVK managed water management assets through 9 plants with 2,798 employees. Drinking water was produced in water treatment plants and distributed through 6,974 km of main water pipelines, 149,061 water connections totaling 1,199 km, 544 pumping stations, and 989 water reservoirs with a total capacity of 596,595 m3. Wastewater was collected through 2,429 km of sewer pipelines and 81,443 sewer connections totaling 578 km. Wastewater was treated in 84 wastewater treatment plants.
