Stredisko cennych papiru (SCP) was established at the beginning of 1993 as an institution aimed at promoting the development of capital market. The SCP implements the tasks set down above all in Act No. 591/1992 Coll., i.e., the Securities Act, as amended. The SCP was estalished by the Czech Republic Ministry of Finance in the legal form of a contribution organization (in accordance with the Budget Rules Act). The basic task of the SCP is keeping the register of dematerialized, i.e., booked securities and of the owners thereof.
