Acerias Nacionales del Ecuador (ANDEC S.A.) is a public limited company established in Ecuador on 8 April 1964 with twith the installation of the first rolling mill in the country and it is located in Guayaquil. A.N.D.E.C. is currently part of the holding Dine S.A. and it is the first metallurgy plant in Ecuador that produces and sells steel, being the backbone of the largest works in the country. The company is primarily engaged in the gathering of recycled ferrous metals, converted into scrap metal for its transformation and the subsequent manufacturing of steel products. The portfolio of the company, comprised of products such as weld rods, drawn wire, angles, among others, is designed in order to satisfy the needs of the construction industry. In 2004, Andec S.A. joined its subsidiary FUNASA, as a division in charge of the collection processing and recycling of ferrous scrap for the manufacture of steel billet material.
