Seguros del Pichincha S.A. Compania de Seguros y Reaseguros is an insurance company located in Quito, Ecuador. It was founded in 1995 by Dr. Fidel Egas, who recognized the need for financial solutions to support the bank's clients. The company opened offices in Quito and Guayaquil. In the early 2000s, Seguros del Pichincha developed a strategic plan with the goal of becoming the number one life insurance company in the country. Over the years, they achieved this objective and are currently focused on growth based on technical results, ensuring profitability for the company and its shareholders. In 2015, Seguros del Pichincha embarked on a strategic planning process for the year 2021. This involved a cultural shift within the company, aligning the competencies and profiles of all employees with the company's objectives. In July 2020, Seguros del Pichincha launched Vívelo, the first digital insurance sales platform in Ecuador. This platform allows consumers to quickly and easily purchase insurance without paperwork or visiting an agency, with the process taking two minutes or less.
