OTP Investment Fund Management Ltd. the predecessor of OTP Fund Management was established in July 1993, and it was transformed into a public company in September 1998. Main operations of the Company include investment fund management, pension fund asset management and institutional portfolio management. In 2005, OTP Fund Management Ltd. obtained among the firsts in Hungary the license for European fund management activity from Hungarian Financial Supervisory Authority, thus it is entitled to sell its products fulfilling EU requirements in each country of EU.
Originally the Company was established to manage investment funds. Its market share grew at a higher rate than that of its competitors therefore OTP Fund Management Ltd became market leader by 1999. Due to continuous product improvement, expanding range of products reflecting to changing market environment and customer needs, market leader position has been successfully maintained in the increasing market competition of last years. The numberless investment funds launched to retail investors offer a wide range of investment possibilities from low-risk money market and bond funds to equity funds in terms of risk and corresponding returns as well as from the point of view of recommended investment horizons. Investment funds both include funds continuously available on all banking days and closed-end guaranteed funds with expressed duration investment units of which can be bought under the subscription period. Besides products for retail customers, funds developed to institutional investors are also issued. Beyond that, in connection to OTP’s expansion in CEU, Fund Management launches funds to sell under cross-border activity.
