MUFG Bank, Ltd., Jakarta Branch, formerly named The Bank of Tokyo – Mitsubishi UFJ, Ltd. – Jakarta Branch (the Bank), is a foreign branch bank commencing operation in Indonesia in 1968. The Bank offers various corporate banking services, with customer base includes some of Indonesia's largest corporations. In the beginning, the Bank operated from Jl. MH Thamrin 24 (now the Embassy of Japan to Indonesia), and then moved until today operating from Midplaza 1 Building, Jl. Jendral Sudirman. In December 2017, the Bank officially announced that it will make a strategic investment to PT Bank Danamon Indonesia Tbk, one of Indonesia's largest public banks. Furthermore, effective on April 1, 2018, the Bank's entity name will officially change into MUFG Bank, Ltd. Bank of Tokyo – Mitsubishi UFJ's office network in Indonesia includes 1 main office (branch), 1 sub-branch, and 9 service points. This is one of the MUFG's widest network in Asia-Oceania.
