PT Semen Baturaja Tbk is a cement production company based in Palembang, Indonesia. It was founded on November 14, 1974, with 45% ownership by PT Semen Gresik and PT Semen Padang. In 1979, the company changed its status to a Persero, with 88% owned by the Government of Indonesia. In 1991, the government took full ownership of the company. In 2013, the company became an open company and changed its name to PT Semen Baturaja Tbk. The company's main product is cement, specifically Terak, which is produced at its production center in Baturaja, South Sumatra. The milling and cement bagging processes are carried out at the Baturaja Factory, Palembang Plant, and Long Factory. The company uses limestone and clay from its mining sites near the factory as raw materials. Other supporting materials, such as silica sand and gypsum, are obtained from partners in the Baturaja area and imported from Thailand. The company has increased its installed capacity through optimization projects, reaching 550,000 tons of cement per year. PT Semen Baturaja Tbk has expanded its business and markets in South Sumatra, Lampung, and other regions in Indonesia. It distributes its products through a network of distributors in South Sumatra, Lampung, Jambi, and Bengkulu. The company aims to provide benefits to the government, shareholders, and the local community through taxes, dividends, and job opportunities. It is a subsidiary of PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk.
