Galada Power & Telecommunications Ltd. is a company located in Hyderabad, India. It was incorporated in 1972 and initially focused on manufacturing EC grade aluminum rod using the continuous casting process. Over the years, the company expanded its activities to include the manufacturing of aluminum strips, slugs, circles, aluminum alloy castings for defense, and aluminum alloy car wheels. In the early 1980s, Galada diversified further by rolling aluminum alloy rods and establishing a plant for the production of All Aluminum Alloy Conductors (AAAC) for the transmission and distribution of electric power. The company also began marketing Optic Fiber Ground Wires for overhead telecommunication. In 1994, the company was renamed Galada Power and Telecommunication Limited (GPTL). In response to the growing demand for energy-saving conductors, GPTL set up a state-of-the-art AAAC facility in Silvassa in 1995. The Hyderabad facility has since been shifted to Silvassa, increasing the total capacity to 24,000 MT/A of conductors and 22,000 MT/A of rods. GPTL is known for its technology-oriented approach in developing energy-saving products and has a track record of supplying over 300,000 kilometers of AAAC and other conductors. The company is equipped to design, uprate, and upgrade transmission and distribution lines, optimize conductor design, test and inspect power line erection, and provide quality management services. They offer a range of products including EC Aluminum Wire Rods, Alloy Wire Rods, All Aluminum Alloy Conductors (AAAC), All Aluminum Conductors (AAC), Aluminum Alloy Conductors Steel Reinforced (AACSR), Aluminum Conductor Steel Reinforced (ACSR), and Special/Development Conductors. They also manufacture specialty rods, wires, and special-purpose machines. The company has administrative offices in Hyderabad and a manufacturing plant in Silvassa.
