Impex Ferro Tech Ltd. is an India-based company located in Kolkata. It was incorporated on June 07, 1995, with the aim of manufacturing Silico Manganese and Ferro Manganese. In 1997-98, the company established two submerged arc furnaces in Kalyaneswary, West Bengal, with capacities of 3.60 MVA and 5 MVA for manufacturing Silico Manganese and Ferro Manganese respectively. The company expanded further in 2000-01 by installing a third furnace with a rating of 7.50 MVA, which commenced production in April 2002. Encouraged by the market demand and acceptance of its products, the company set up a fourth submerged arc furnace of 8.25 MVA for manufacturing HC Silico Manganese in 2004. In 2008-09, the company commissioned its fifth submerged electric arc furnace with a capacity of 7.5 MVA for manufacturing Ferro Manganese. Impex Ferro Tech Ltd. is engaged in the manufacturing and sales of ferroalloys, including silico manganese, high-carbon ferromanganese, and medium-carbon ferromanganese. These ferroalloys are used as ingredients in making special-grade steel with specific properties. They are also used for the deoxidation, desulphurization, and refining of steel. The company has been awarded the ISO 9001:2000 certification for its manufacture and supply of different types of ferro alloys. In addition to its manufacturing activities, Impex Ferro Tech Ltd. is also involved in trading iron and steel products. The company's plant is located in Burdwan, West Bengal, and it operates a 30-megawatt power plant.
