Kamarhatty Company Limited (KCL) is a composite jute mill located in Kolkata, India. Established in 1877 under British managing agency Jardine Henderson Ltd, it is one of the oldest functioning jute mills in the world. KCL is a part of the Kamarhatty Group, which is valued at US$ 50 million and operates in various industries including jute, paper, power generation, and warehousing. The company employs over 5000 people and is situated on the banks of the river Ganges. The Kamarhatty Group has gained expertise in managing jute mills, with over 20 years of experience in the field. In the past 5 years, KCL has invested over US$ 7 million in setting up a state-of-the-art Fine yarn unit, a bleaching and dyeing unit, and modernizing existing capacity.
