GM Korea Company is the South Korean subsidiary of General Motors and is the third largest automobile manufacturer in South Korea. It was established in 2002 when the former Daewoo Motors vehicle brand separated from its parent company, Daewoo Group. The company operates three manufacturing facilities in South Korea and imports vehicles for sale in the domestic market. Additionally, GM Korea operates the GM Technical Center Korea, which is a facility for design, engineering, research, and development of various GM products, with a focus on small-size cars.
