The history of SK Networks dates back to 1953.
-1953: The Company established (CEO and President: Chey Jong-kun).
-1966: Awarded Export Achievement of the President s Prize (Export achievement of 1.8 million U.S Dollars).
-1974: Received Export Achievement Award of the President s Prize.
-1976: Absorption merger of Sunil Textile Co., Ltd. business name changed to Sunkyong Co., Ltd. It was designated as a general trading company.
-1977: Listed on the Korean Stocks Exchange.
-1980: The Company (formerly known as Yukong Limited) was acquired.
-1981: Awarded for earning 500 million U.S Dollars in exports.
-1989: Participated in the Oil Exploration Project in Myanmar.
-1991: Started participation in Guyana Forest Development Project.
-1996: Established a first China - Korea joint venture trading company in China.
-1997: Concluded contract on Cambodia Forest Development Project.
-1998: Change business name to “SK Global Co., Ltd”.
-1999: Merged with SK Distribution.
-2000: Merged with SK Energy Sales.
-2002 : Acquisition of Segye Corporation Launching of leased line business.
-2003: Inauguration of CEO and President Jung Man Won and changed in the Company s name to “SK Networks”.
