The winery Leovin SA is situated in Leova city, in the south-west of the republic of Moldova. LEOVIN was founded as private company in 1996 as an outcome of the privatization of the local public winery. Leovin SA is a winery surrounded by 200ha of vines, including Cabernet, Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Franc, Aligote and Muscat Ottonel from which high quality wines and controlled origin wine names are produced. The winery’s Muscat de Leova wine took part in the contest Muscats du Monde-2002 and 2003 of France, for the best Muscat in the world where it won the bronze medal in both years. In 2005 Leovin received a gold medal for producing the best Merlot in Moldova.
