The Mezon plant has been incorporated in 1969 as a high technology company specialized in the production of integrated microelectronic circuits and consumer goods based on them. Mezon was one of the largest microelectronics enterprises in the USSR, producing annually 130 million integrated circuits. The plant was subordinated to the Ministry of Electronic Industry of the USSR and was a member of the NGO "Research Center", Zelenograd city. "Mezon" was a leading microelectronics company in the region south-west of the former USSR and the Balkans. The plant is no longer functioning today, and its industrial and administrative buildings are undergoing radical restructuring.
