BIM AD Sveti Nikole is a company located in Sveti Nikole, North Macedonia. The company was established in 1957 as part of the Bogoslovec mine, producing asphalt mixtures. In 1962, they expanded their production to include hydro-insulation tapes, bitumen masses, emulsions, and diluted bitumens. Since then, the company has operated as an independent organization and has experienced continuous development. In 1977, BIM AD Sveti Nikole entered a new period of growth with the introduction of a new production line for bitumen hydro-insulation tapes, acquired from the German manufacturer Dr. Raiser. They also obtained a license to produce elastomeric tapes from the Swiss company "MEYNADIER," making them the first producers of elastomeric tapes with the trademark "Bikutop" in the former Yugoslavia. That same year, they established new facilities for bitumen oxidation, industrial bitumen packaging, bitumen masses, diluted bitumens, pastes, and putties, as well as bitumen emulsion production. These new facilities significantly improved the quality of their own products and provided greater development opportunities. In 1985, BIM AD Sveti Nikole started producing bitumen shingles, and in 1988, they began developing polymer bitumens, introducing several new products such as cold paste Bimizol, polymer putties, grout masses, Bikumasa-M, and many others. The company made a significant contribution to road construction by producing polymer-modified bitumen (PMB) since 1998. During this period, BIM AD Sveti Nikole was among the first PMB producers in the Balkans. In 2011, the company replaced the heaters in their thermal station with equipment from Vaisshib of Germany. In 2013, BIM AD Sveti Nikole underwent reconstruction and modernization of their existing production line for hydro-insulation tapes and PMB production. The reconstruction and modernization were carried out by Boato from Italy, and additional equipment was installed for the production of other types of PMB for roads, such as Elvaloy.
