Bank of America is a commercial banking institution that started operations in Mexico in 1954. In October 2004 Bank of America and Fleet Boston Financial merged, integrating Bank Boston Mexico to Bank of America Mexico. In December, 2010 the Ministry of Finance approved the merger of Grupo Financiero Bank of America, Banc of America Securities, Casa de Bolsa S.A de CV, Continental Servicios Corporativos S.A de C.V and Bank of America Mexico S.A multiple banking Institution, the last in operation as the merged entity.
