Banco Panameno de La Vivienda S.A is a Panamanian bank located in Panama City. It was incorporated on June 30, 1994, and initially operated as a purely corporate bank. However, due to significant growth in the early years and the vision of becoming a major player in the Panamanian financial sector, the bank acquired 100% of the stock of Colabanco in 1999, becoming the first banking group to initiate mergers and acquisitions in Panama. This transaction tripled the bank's assets, increasing from 135 to 454 million. Since 1999, Global Bank's growth rates have consistently exceeded industry averages. In 2019, the bank acquired Banvivienda, further strengthening its position and expanding its customer base to over 200,000 clients. With a wide range of robust financial services and products tailored to meet the needs of each customer, Banco Panameno de La Vivienda S.A has become a more consolidated and fortified financial institution. With over 25 years of operations, the bank takes pride in being a privately-owned Panamanian bank with the highest volume of assets. It currently operates a network of 30 branches and 154 ATMs nationwide. Throughout the years, the bank has prioritized its commitment to the environment, implementing various initiatives to reduce its impact on the environment. As a testament to this commitment, the bank's headquarters in Santa Maria has obtained the Leed BD+C: Core & Shell certification. Banco Panameno de La Vivienda S.A expresses gratitude to its clients, employees, and shareholders for their trust, which has allowed the bank to continue supporting the socio-economic development of Panama.
