Unibank S.A. (Panama)

UniBank S.A. is a corporation incorporated in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Panama that has entered into the banking business in Panama. The bank began operations in December 2010 with a capital of $50 million, a board of directors composed of Panamanian entrepreneurs from various industries, and an experienced management team. By the end of 2013, UniBank obtained authorization from the Superintendence of the Securities Market of Panama (SMV) for the issuance of VCNs. With this first issuance of VCNs, the bank strengthened its position in the banking sector and experienced positive growth within the Panamanian market. In September 2014, with the prior authorization of the Superintendence of Banks of Panama, UniBank acquired a 50% stake in the share capital of Invertis Securities, S.A., becoming the new Securities House associated with the UniBank Group. On December 1, 2015, UniBank inaugurated its office located in Costa del Este. The entity has active participation from the members of the Board of Directors in various committees, which measure performance in administrative, business, best practices, and corporate social responsibility aspects. In 2020, UniBank celebrates 10 years of constant growth and evolution.
